Pedestrian Safety
TrafficGuard Direct offers a variety of safety bollard posts to protect pedestrians from vehicle traffic. Whether you want to block off an area permanently or temporarily, we offer a number of bollard options to suit your needs. From removable locking posts to embedded fixed barriers and more, a variety of choices are available for pedestrian safety post bollards applications.
High and Low Security
Many different types of areas experience pedestrian traffic, and depending on how heavy it is, there are traffic posts for both high and low security levels. Locations such as hospitals and stores often experience heavy pedestrian traffic and might require more vehicle access restriction, while streetscapes and other locations might only need temporary access control and protection.
Depending on the application, heavy-duty and light-duty bollard post options are available for installation. All posts are constructed with high-quality steel that complies with the Buy American Act (41 U.S.C 8302-8305) and are reliable for pedestrian protection. High security barricades offer more physical protection while lightweight traffic posts provide the same effective visual deterrence.
Multiple Post Types
Different applications will require different types of security bollards for pedestrians that are not only different in size and shape, but also in operation. Embedded and surface mounted fixed posts provide permanent heavy-duty protection from vehicle impact and are ideal for high security applications. Collapsible models are also constructed for heavy-duty security, but unlike fixed posts, users can raise or lower them to change security levels.
Removable posts allow users to remove posts entirely and cover their set-up location to allow vehicles through. These models are not intended for high security application areas as much as they are meant to serve as highly visible traffic deterrents.
Combinations of different sizes, shapes and types of traffic bollard posts are also recommended for locations with multiple levels of security.
